Monday Musings, 11: "20 Characteristics of a Self-Proclaimed Introvert"

I'm an introvert.

I'm not shy.

I'm not anti-social.

I prefer to listen than to speak.

I think before I act or speak.

When I don't talk, it doesn't mean I'm mad, sad, or depressed. Sometimes I literally have nothing to say.

I like talking to people (most of the time).

I like my solitude...a lot.

I like silence.

I dislike meaningless conversations and small talk.

I like small groups over large groups.

I'm good at networking, but I get worn out quickly.

I don't do clubs.

I don't mind doing things alone, like traveling.

I don't need to be around others to gain energy.

Some of the best moments are spent with myself.

Ironically, I enjoy public speaking.

I tend to think about things that have nothing to do with my current situation.

I would rather have a few close friends than many casual or distant friends.

I express myself through art forms (writing, photography).

Like everyone else, I crave connection and community.
